design concept:
Aowanda National Forest Recreation Area is adjacent to three villages and five tribes. It is the gathering place of the three indigenous Seediq, Atayal and Bunun tribes.
Showcasing the rich and diverse indigenous culture. The creator is a local painter from the Bunun ethnic group in Wanfeng Village, who vividly presents unique cultural stories through his brushes.
The Nongban calendar is a unique way of remembering events of the indigenous people. It uses hieroglyphic symbols to describe farming, hunting, rituals and other living customs.
Cloud Waterfall is the artist's touching expression of the phenomenon of flowing clouds on the top of the mountain, bringing a profound feeling to the vastness and openness of the natural landscape.
The creator said that the cloud waterfall seems to combine the beauty of clouds and waterfalls, symbolizing the simple life of the Bunun people between the mountains and the sea, away from the hustle and bustle of the city, and returning to the simple life of nature.
The mountains symbolize the living environment of the indigenous people. The green mountains and the blue sky are symbols of the vastness of nature. The mountains also represent the life and hometown of the mountain indigenous people. The colors are based on the colors used in Bunun clothing.
The hanger design uses three birds to represent Aboriginal stories. Among them, the owl plays the role of the guardian angel of babies in Aboriginal legends. This design chose a small number of small owls that are active during the day, commonly known as the owl, commonly known as the little pepper in the forest. In Atayal legend,
There is a spiritual bird called Xilik that can predict good and bad luck. In the bird classification, it belongs to the Thrush family, and is called Xiuyan Thrush. According to the legend of the Bunun people, it is a red-billed black bulb that helps humans make fire.
On the door of the room, there is a cute owl that symbolizes ecological environment indicators as a small easter egg. There are mountain peaks painted by the artist behind the door. This part was added after the artist completed the painting, adjusting it and adding interest to the entire room.

Aboriginal legend room

  /     /

Design concept:
The neighboring tribes of Aowanda are the Seediq, Atayal and Bunun tribes. We have specially drawn the unique aboriginal legends of the three tribes to allow guests to deeply understand and explore the legends of the three ethnic groups through the pictures.
White Stone Legend: According to legend, the Seediq people believe that there is a huge white stone in the central mountain range, which the tribesmen call the "shining stone". It is regarded as the birthplace of their ancestors and is also the tribe's hunting area.
Legend of shooting the sun: The three ethnic groups all spread similar legends of shooting the sun. According to legend, in ancient times, two suns appeared in the sky.
It causes the earth to become hot and leads to famine. There was a father who took his youth and children to the top of a mountain to shoot the sun. Before setting off, he sprinkled oranges along the roadside. After years of traveling over mountains and ridges, the child gradually becomes a young man, and finally shoots down a sun, and the scattered oranges become a guiding tree for returning home.
Red-billed Black Bulbul: Legend has it that in ancient times, the Bunun people had a great flood that submerged the earth. The people rushed to the mountains but forgot to bring fire. The monkey wanted to help people get fire, but it drowned because it didn't know how to use water. It became a loyal good friend of humans. Next, a brave frog volunteered to cross the flood to obtain fire. His back was burned as a result, and he became a toad. Unfortunately, the fire was extinguished by the water. Later, the red-billed black bulbul flew back with fire in its mouth, and took turns holding the fire in its mouth and hands, so its mouth and hands burned red and its body turned black. In order to express gratitude to the monkeys, toads and red-billed black bulbuls, the tribesmen cannot harm them easily.
The coat rack is cleverly integrated into the orange branches, allowing tenants to hang their clothes, giving the coat rack vitality while also showing the harmonious beauty of symbiosis with the orange trees.
